Kerryfresh expands deliveries

Kerryfresh van

Fresh to Store, trading as Kerryfresh, has had to add 50 new vehicles to its chilled delivery van fleet to keep pace with demand from retailers. The additional vans will result in 3,500 extra delivery slots every week.

The increased interest follows the introduction of a range of new services by owner Fresh to Store since a management buy-out of the business in February. In particular, the new website and app ordering service have proved particularly popular with retailers.

The Kerryfresh catalogue now features more than 400 chilled and fresh products, including from a host of leading brands, while retailers in Scotland have seen the introduction of a dedicated 40-strong Scottish range, which was launched last month in direct response for more locally-sourced offerings.

Fresh to Store Trading Controller Sharon Dougherty explained: “As promised, we have introduced a range of exciting new initiatives this year that have clearly resonated with independent and symbol group retailers throughout the UK.

“This has led to increased demand and so we are delighted to announce that we will be expanding our van fleet and team of specially trained van sales reps to keep pace with what more and more retailers want – a first-class chilled and fresh delivery service with on the spot advice about what to stock and when to stock it. We are continuously looking to grow our team as the demand for chilled continues.”
