Fast-growing grocery and convenience retail consumer insights agency KAM Media has appointed Katie Jenkins as its new Marketing Director.
Jenkins joins from Glasgow-based Bolt Learning which was recently sold to new owners and Joins founder Katy Moses and Blake Gladman in driving the future growth strategy of KAM Media.
She will be responsible for expanding KAM Media’s presence as research and insight experts in existing and new channels whilst leading the integration and implementation of KAM Media’s events, PR and digital marketing strategies.
Jenkins has worked in the UK retail industry for over 17 years, with her expertise covering everything from customer and consumer research and in-store experience to people development, customer service and marketing.
She spent 12 years working for HIM alongside Katy Moses helping clients such as Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Coca Cola, Red Bull and Pernod Ricard deliver growth by better understanding their current and future customers.
Her most recent role was as Head of Customer Proposition for Bolt Learning, where she developed the customer proposition for the tech start-up.
Katy Moses said: “Having worked with Katie for five years in a previous life, I am convinced that she is the right person to take KAM forward with us, and to join in the shared vision that Blake and I have for the business. The old adage of “employ people who are better than you at your job” has never been truer than in the case of this move!”
Jenkins added: “Katy, and subsequently Blake also, have done an amazing job in creating and developing the KAM Media business over the last five years. I’ve worked with them both in the past and I can’t wait to start and help them to create this exciting new chapter for the business.”
