Pernod Ricard has unveiled the latest addition to the Jameson range of Irish whiskeys, Jameson Triple Triple Chestnut Edition, which launches in time for St Patrick’s Day (17 March).
Made in Midleton Distillery, County Cork, the new expression is a blended whiskey that is triple distilled then matured in both ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. It then undergoes a finishing period in specially selected sweet chestnut wood casks. The chestnut cask contribution adds velvety notes of toffee, cacao and toasted almonds. The triple cask maturation process is a core element of the Triple Triple series.
Bottled at an ABV of 40%, Jameson Triple Triple Chestnut Edition has an RSP of £29.
Unlike the first Jameson Triple Triple release, which was exclusive to the travel retail channel, the Chestnut Edition will be widely available in the off-trade, initially from Amazon and Morrisons.
Ian Peart, Commercial Director for Pernod Ricard UK, commented: “Jameson Triple Triple expands the brand’s premium portfolio to offer a fresh take on its signature smoothness at a price point that sits between Jameson Original and Jameson Black Barrel.”
