Billy from The Glenlivet distillery discusses Father's Day

The Glenlivet has released a Father’s Day video as part of its campaign to promote the recent launch of The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve.

#CheersDad is a heartfelt film that celebrates the uncelebrated. It explores what sons and daughters value most from their fathers and what they think they will, in turn, pass on to their children one day. A series of intimate interviews reveals the value people place on love, guidance, inspiration and time together.

Vicky Hoey, Head of Marketing at Pernod Ricard UK explained: “Often, people don’t think about what their legacy is, or what their parents’ legacy means to them. The beautiful interviews in this new video are a window into what people cherish the most about their dad and how a father’s qualities can shape who we are. So, this Father’s Day, what better way to celebrate your dad, than to simply say, cheers.”

Amongst the fathers, sons and daughter featured in the video are Billy and Gary, who have worked together at The Glenlivet distillery for 15 years.

Alongside the video, The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve has launched a Father’s Day platform, allowing people to create personalised bottle labels to say ‘thank you’ for their dad’s living legacy, as well as gift a free miniature via Facebook at theglenlivetgifting.com.

Hoey concluded: “We’re very proud of this video and our own legacy. George Smith, the founder of The Glenlivet began creating whisky in 1824 and then passed the skill onto his son. To this day, tradition, legacy and authenticity are at the heart of everything we do. Our whisky is testament to the strength of the bond between father and son and The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve is a unique tribute to George Smith’s legacy and his vision.”
