Make your own Fanny, Irn-Bru urges public

Irn-Bru is giving fans a chance to star in their own adverts for Scotland’s favourite ginger as part of its ‘Irn-Bru Gets You Through’ campaign.

Fans can get their creative juices flowing by creating their very own Gets You Through film, or by re-creating classic Bru TV ads such as Fanny, Steamy Windows and Blind Date.

Fans can post their ads using @IrnBru on social media, and the very best videos will feature in a special Irn-Bru TV ad-break takeover, airing on STV on Saturday 4 July. The funniest content will also be shared across Irn-Bru accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram each week.

As part of a new Irn-Bru partnership with The Stand Comedy Club, the best fan videos of the week will also air in its weekly ‘Saturday Night Live at The Stand’ comedy show on YouTube over the coming weeks. They’ll be introduced by comedian Mark Nelson as part of line-ups including Frankie Boyle, Daniel Sloss, Paul Foot and Jo Caulfield.
