Hundreds of illegal vapes seized from Glasgow shop

Glasgow City Council has seized hundreds of illegal vapes from an East End shop.

The council found almost 900 illegal vapes at an unnamed store after its trading standards team received a consumer complaint.

Glasgow City Council tweeted: “Tests will be carried out on the vapes – many of which had tanks exceeding the legal limit.”

In March, the council backed the call for a ban on the sale of single-use vapes amid growing health and environmental concerns.
