One O One Convenience Stores is encouraging customers to eat better with the launch of a new scheme in partnership with the SGF’s Healthy Living Programme (HLP).
The ‘Cook at Home’ initiative rolls out exclusively in a selection of One O One stores and online for home delivery customers. The initiative will showcase a new healthier recipe every week that can be easily made at home. The aim is to encourage families to cook meals at home and enjoy the benefits of a home-cooked meal using fresh ingredients that are readily available. The National Chef for Scotland, Gary Maclean, has filmed short step-by-step videos to support the initiative.
A new recipe will launch every week, with all ingredients available in-store and online. Customers can look forward to making family favourites from spaghetti bolognese to sweet chilli veg fried rice. The initiative aims to help customers eat fresh healthy meals and maintain household budgets as the cost of living rises, all whilst shopping locally.
Graeme Thomson, Buying & Merchandising Manager at One O One, commented: “With a new recipe card being launched each week, with all ingredients available in-store or online for home delivery, we can highlight our great range of fresh, chilled, and frozen foods now available across One O One Stores. This is another great opportunity for us to support our local communities and promote healthier eating habits.”
Healthy Living Programme Field Manager Gillian Edgar said HLP was “delighted” to renew its partnership with One O One.
She added: “Due to number of fresh lines coming into stores, consumers are able, more than ever, to cook a whole meal from scratch, so why not make it a healthier choice?”
