Highland Spring is ramping up its investment in the wholesale/cash & carry sector with the appointment of sales consultancy Scot Serve.

Highland Spring will work in partnership with Scot Serve to service national cash & carry account depots across Scotland. The company said that Scot Serve’s expertise in the key areas of auditing and compliance, merchandising and brand development will help it ensure a continued focus within these key accounts at a time when many other brands are removing support at depot level.

Graeme Clark, Managing Director of Scot Serve, said: “Our role is to complement Highland Spring’s existing sales operation which has proved extremely effective in growing sales of its premium bottled water in recent years. However, our expertise in wholesale – effectively acting as a support mechanism – will create new opportunities and assist in driving their plans to increase market share further.”

Ian McKeown, Highland Spring Group’s Channel Director, commented: “We believe there is still significant development potential in Scotland. Our Route to Market team is very much looking forward to working in partnership with Scot Serve to help achieve our ambitious growth plans. With an extremely strong investment plan for the Highland Spring brand in 2013, we are confident that Scot Serve will play a strong role in unlocking this potential by working closely with the Scottish teams within our national wholesale customer base.”
