Nisa’s own-label Heritage biscuit range has been given an overhaul in response to member feedback and new government health recommendations.
Packaging on the entire Heritage range has been redesigned to make the biscuits easier to shop. A new pricing structure has been introduced after previous prices were deemed to be out of line with the marketplace. Some recipes have also been tweaked to reduce salt and sugar content.
Heritage Brand Manager at Nisa, Tracey Redfearn, said: “We listened to what our members said about our biscuit range who felt the original blue packaging was confusing as compared to most other biscuits that use specific colours for certain types of biscuits.
“Members also felt our pricing did not compare favourably to other brands and so we have taken that on board and now, apart from three lines in the range, our biscuits are all priced at two for £1, which is much more competitive for shoppers.”
Nisa Retail members got to sample the new range at the symbol group’s recent trade exhibition.
“The feedback about the biscuits has been extremely positive and, whilst the recipes have been altered, the quality certainly has not been compromised,” concluded Redfearn.
