Heineken has unveiled its latest marketing activity around the UEFA Champions League, which it is sponsoring for the ninth consecutive year.

Kicking off in time for the semi-finals on April 28th, the campaign offers shoppers the chance to win Champions League match tickets, a place at a Finals Party in Ibiza, or Heineken-related prizes.

Purchasing either a 4 or 12 multipack of Heineken will enable customers to enter the prize draw via Twitter.

The multi-million pound marketing programme also features POS materials for the wholesale, convenience and grocery channels, including aisle fins, floor stickers, FSDUs and gondola ends.

Craig Clarkson, Category & Trade Marketing Director for Heineken, thinks the campaign will give retailers a chance to increase their sales. He said: “The new ‘Champion the Match’ promotion offers football fans the chance to win money-can’t-buy experiences, which we are confident will excite shoppers, deliver increased store footfall and drive sales ahead of the remaining games of this season’s tournament.”
