Haribo has launched Squidglets, a new soft-textured chewy sweet.
Packs of Squidglets feature six cube shapes with different expressions, available in a variety of flavours and colours. These include: a pink strawberry-flavoured heart face; a green apple-flavoured tongue face; a blue raspberry-flavoured smiling face; a purple cherry-flavoured winking face; a brown cola-flavoured shocked face and a white vanilla-flavoured innocent face.
Alison Satterthwaite, Brand Manager for Haribo, said: “We are very excited to launch Haribo Squidglets. Developing a treat that is tasty and enjoyable but also has real personality and shelf presence is what Haribo is all about – we know this product will become another firm consumer favourite.”
Satterthwaite is probably correct. The SLR team devoured an entire sharing pack inside five minutes, with one staff member describing the sweets as “confectionery crack”.
“Customer insight has shown that soft-to-eat treats are becoming increasingly popular,” Satterthwaite continued, “so we are happy to add a new recipe to our range, giving consumers even more choice and a further opportunity to share and enjoy.”
Squidglets is available now in a range of pack formats, including 140g with an RSP of £1.29.
