Haribo Smurfs has been relaunched with a new addition, ahead of ‘Smurfs: The Lost Village’ hitting cinemas on March 31.
The Smurfs’ arch enemy Gargamel makes his Haribo debut, unsurprisingly, in a sour cherry flavour.
Alongside the bungling wizard, each new sharing bag contains a selection of Smurf-shaped jelly pieces including Grouchy, Brainy and Jokey in strawberry and raspberry flavours, and Smurfette in lemon and raspberry flavours.
Also new for 2017 is the Haribo Chamallows Smurfs Family. The sharing pack of marshmallows contains a range of shapes, including the Smurfs Mushroom house, in vanilla and raspberry flavours.
Alison Satterthwaite, Brand Manager for Haribo Lead Brands, commented: “Haribo Smurfs has driven a great deal of excitement amongst consumers and retailers, and continues to deliver consistently year-on-year. Just like the films and characters, Haribo Smurfs has benefitted from broad appeal and is a product that is loved by adults and children alike.
“Supported by the excitement generated by a new movie release, as well as a new flavour and product piece, Haribo Smurfs is definitely a must stock treat for retailers and is perfect for consumers to share with friends and family.”
Haribo Smurfs is available in a range of formats including a 12 x 160g sharing bag containing six portions, pricemarked at £1. Haribo Chamallows Smurfs Family is available in 12 x 140g sharing bags, also pricemarked at £1.
