Luxury ice cream maker Häagen-Dazs has teamed-up with pastry chef Pierre Hermé to launch a new macaron ice cream range.
The range is available now in Asda, with a wider rollout in March, in pint (RSP £5.35) and mini-cup (RSP £4.80) formats.
Two variants – Strawberry & Raspberry and Double Chocolate Ganache – combine crunchy, chewy mini macaron shells with creamy ice cream, balancing the taste of Häagen-Dazs with Pierre Hermé’s signature almond flavour.
The launch will be supported by a comprehensive marketing campaign, with experiential events and influencer activity to drive awareness of the product as “the summer’s most fashionable treat and must-stock ice cream of the season”.
Not shy about blowing his own trumpet, Jose Alves, Head of Häagen-Dazs UK, commented: “Pierre Hermé is celebrated for his exquisite macarons and together with the iconic ice cream of Häagen-Dazs, a new era of magical indulgence is here. The partnership showcases the true craftsmanship of both brands – passionate about innovating and re-interpreting classic favourites and creating extraordinary experiences.”
