Guinness is re-launching Guinness Original with a refreshed packaging design that reflects the brand’s heritage and brewing credentials.
Originally brewed as the XX version of Guinness’ Porter, Guinness Original is hoppy, roasty and crisp with a bittersweet finish. Whilst the drink remains unchanged, the inspiration for the new packaging comes from historic labels in the Guinness archives.
The redesign reflects Guinness’ continued celebration of the growing consumer interest in beers with real stories, history and provenance.
Marketing Manager for Guinness Western Europe, Nicola Parry, commented: “For over 256 years, we have been brewing quality beers that are loved all over the world, yet it was Guinness Original that really put us on the map, helping us develop into the iconic brand that we are today.
“By reminding people of the rich history of Guinness Original, we aim to bring new consumers into the category and reignite this amazing beer.”
Newly-designed Guinness Original 500ml bottles (rrp £2.19) and cans (4×440 ml, rrp £5.09) are available now.
