As part of its annual GroceryAid Day on 2 March, the industry charity’s Scottish branch has invited everyone to join a motivational talk by former Royal Marine Commando Hon Col Dr Andy Grant.
There is no charge to attend the online Microsoft Teams event, which will take place on Tuesday 2 March from 12 noon to 1.30pm. Attendees are asked to donate whatever amount they feel they can afford.
These donations help fund the financial and emotional support GroceryAid provides to workers in all sectors of the grocery trade in Scotland, whether that’s through its Covid fund, crisis grants, extensive helpline services or other forms of support.
The event has been organised by Scott Black, National Account Controller at Highland Spring and GroceryAid’s Scotland Branch Treasurer. He commented: “We want to spread the word about the charity but also provide everyone with a much-needed boost. Andy’s story is truly inspirational and I hope that as many people as possible in the trade in Scotland and further afield take an hour or so out of their day to hear it.”
If you know of any colleagues who might need a helping hand, please direct them to the GroceryAid website or ask them to phone the 24/7 helpline on 08088 021 122.
