SLR’s Spirits Retailer of the Year 2015, The Good Spirits Co., has opened a second store in Glasgow.
The Good Spirits Co. Wine & Beer, at 105 West Nile Street, expands the company’s offering to include table wine, with a particular focus on Italy and Spain. The new shop will also allow the company to increase their range of craft beers and ales. Also stocked are champagne, port, sherry, and dessert wines.
Commenting on the new shop, co-owner Shane Goodbody said: “I’m a real fan of Spanish wines and it has been enormous fun selecting a range that includes the classics, like Rioja and Albarino, as well as some hidden gems that have never been available in Glasgow before now.”
Co-owner Matthew McFadyen added: “Glasgow has a long-standing love affair with Spanish and Italian wine, so that’s our biggest focus, but Australia, New Zealand and other new world countries are well represented too. We hope that we have something for every taste.”
Founded in 2011, the Good Spirits Co. focuses mainly on malt whisky, with an extensive range of gin, rum, bourbon, brandy, vodka and liqueurs. A key feature of the shop’s offering is their frequent public tasting events, where customers can explore the world of fine drink in the custom-built tasting room.
