Glen’s Vodka, the Official Spirit of the SPFL, has launched ‘Golden Goal,’ a new on-pack promotion that gives shoppers the chance to win daily cash prizes ranging from £10 to £1,000, as well as exclusive merchandise.
A modern spin on classic ‘Spot the Ball’ competitions, the scan-to-play promo will see 115 instant wins awarded throughout the promotional period (from 26 February to 6 May 2024. Prizes will also be given based on skill, with those topping the leaderboard also set to receive an exclusive ‘Glen’s Away Day kit,’ including a vintage-style Glen’s football shirt, bucket hat, bumbag and water bottle.
A QR code on promotional labels of Glen’s Original Vodka 70cl and one-litre bottles, as well as Glen’s Platinum one-litre bottles and POS, leads to a website where punters can try to correctly place the football that has been digitally removed from a number of images. No purchase is necessary to play.
Glen’s brand owner Loch Lomond Group has invested almost half a million pounds in out-of-home and digital advertising to support the campaign, which will also be bolstered in the on-trade with scan-to-play coasters, posters, and tent cards in participating bars.
Loch Lomond boss Colin Matthews, CEO of Glen’s Vodka owner Group, said: “Our ‘Golden Goal’ campaign embraces the widespread appeal of Britain’s best-loved sport, while playfully acknowledging the blend of skill and chance involved.
“The extra layer of online gamification injects an element of excitement, giving the public their own league to compete in this season while allowing us to strengthen our connection with our consumers – and welcome new players into the fold.”
