Glenfiddich brings together the best of Scotland

Glenfiddich’s Global Brand Ambassador, Ian Millar, stars alongside Olympic hero Sir Chris Hoy in Visit Scotland’s new global advertising campaign to inspire people to make Scotland their top destination for 2014. The ‘Brilliant Moments’ campaign features real people, dramatic landscapes and the best of Scottish culture. With events such as the Ryder Cup at Gleneagles, the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, the Homecoming event and the Speyside Whisky Festival, the ad highlights some of Scotland’s finest celebrations for 2014.’

Commenting on this recognition for the World’s Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch whisky, Glenfiddich’s Global Ambassador, Ian Millar said: “The ad is testament to the rich history and heritage of the whisky industry, which has a unique place in Scottish culture. 2014 is set to be a great year for Scotland as it takes a global stage for the Commonwealth Games, the Homecoming and the Ryder Cup, we hope visitors will also enjoy some of Scotland’s remarkable whisky traditions’.

Filming took place at the Quaich Bar at the Craigellachie Hotel, which houses over 700 whiskies.

The ad will play on television screens across the UK from November 2013 and throughout 2014 and is part of the ‘Year of Homecoming’ campaign, a year-long programme of events and celebrations which also includes a month-long celebration of malt whisky. It will also reach new international audiences through social media with visitors being encouraged to share photos of their brilliant moments.
