Cake, the Glasgow-based bakery owned by wholesaler Lomond – The Wholesale Food Co, has launched a range of triple-layer cocktail-themed cakes.
Despite its name, Cake’s cocktail range is completely alcohol free and made with 100% natural flavourings. All cakes are made by hand using free-range eggs and packaged in 100% recyclable packaging. Inspired by classic cocktail combinations, the range is available in a variety of flavours, including:
- Strawberry Bellini – a three-layered sponge filled with jam and strawberry and sparkling wine flavour buttercream, topped with buttercream and dried strawberry sprinkles
- White Russian – a vanilla and chocolate marble cake layered with chocolate and cream liqueur flavoured buttercream, topped with a layer of flavoured buttercream and chocolate shavings
- Blueberry Mojito – a delicate sponge dotted with candied blueberries and layered with blueberry compote and blueberry and mojito-flavoured buttercream, topped with blueberries and buttercream.
- Gin, Lemon and Lime – lemon curd and lemon and gin flavoured buttercream sandwiched in between zesty lemon sponge, topped with buttercream and lime zest
The cakes are available frozen and pre-portioned into 14 slices to reduce wastage.
