A new partnership with the Ferrara Candy Company has seen Fox’s Burton’s Companies UK (FBC) named as sole importer of Nerds Candy in the UK and Ireland.
Launched in 1983, Nerds has built its fame as a fun and quirky candy brand. It is now available directly from FBC and selected wholesalers. Over the last year Nerds has outperformed the UK Non-Chocolate Confectionery market with value sales up 65% year on year and annual sales of £6.7m.
On top of this, Ferrara – which, like FBC, is part of the Ferrero Group – now wants to unlock further growth this side of the pond by launching new products and leveraging a new route to market via FBC.
In the coming weeks it has plans for some “game-changing candy innovations” that will officially land for the first time in the UK & Ireland. These new products will also be available from wholesalers, including Booker and Bestway.
