The first Scotland Loves Local Week, which aims to build upon and deliver the campaign’s wider aims of creating better, stronger, more sustainable places, will take place at the end of August.
Delivered in partnership with SGF and key stakeholders from across Scotland, Scotland’s Towns Partnership (STP) Love Local Week will take place from 28 August to 3 September.
The key campaign messages are:
- Choose local for a better future.
- Think, choose, and spend locally to create better lives.
- Choose local: Be there for your community.
- Go green, choose local.
- Local businesses are there for you, be there for them.
- Choose local to create stronger communities and better places.
- Scotland Loves Local: The beating heart of a better future.
- Travel sustainably – choose local.
- Choose local and explore your community.
Scotland’s Towns Partnership said: “When we love local, we can create better places to live, work and visit. By loving local, we are choosing to back local businesses, and build stronger communities that can respond to the cost-of-living crisis and the climate emergency.
“True economic and environmental sustainability lies in our local communities. Scotland Loves Local is the beating heart of positive change – bringing together the people, businesses, and community representatives who can build a better future.”
In addition, Nominations for Scotland Loves Local Awards are currently open and will close on 4 September.
