Lindsay Boswell, CEO of food redistribution charity FareShare, has joined IGD’s Board of Trustees.
Boswell, who has been CEO of FareShare for 10 years, was previously Chief Executive at the Institute of Fundraising, and prior to that held roles at charities across Asia, South America and Africa.
He commented: “This is a time of incredible challenge and change for the food and consumer goods industry. Having an authoritative voice like IGD’s to set the agenda for our industry has never been more important than it is today, and I am looking forward to helping the organisation’s charitable programmes grow and flourish.”
Susan Barratt, CEO of IGD, added: “I’m delighted Lindsay has become an IGD Trustee. He is already a very active supporter of our charitable programmes, and I have no doubt he will bring a very fresh and valuable perspective to our work.”
IGD and FareShare are currently working with the food and consumer goods industry, and other charitable food redistributors, to safeguard a consistent supply of food to food banks during the coronavirus pandemic. For companies that would like to make a pledge, please contact donations@igd.com.
