If Under the Counter has learned anything in life it’s that you pay attention to the boffins at Oxford University, because they’re awfy clever and usually get it right.

And so, it is with great delight that UTC can reveal that said boffins have revealed that people who have a ‘local’ pub are not only significantly happier than those who do not, but also have higher life satisfaction and more close friends.
