As part of its 175th birthday celebrations, Whyte & Mackay has launched a campaign that will gives consumers the chance to win a rare bottle of 50-year-old blended Scotch estimated to be worth £5,000.
There are 1,500 of the 50cl ‘money can’t buy’ bottles up for grabs through a promotion advertised on 70cl and 1-ltr bottles of Whyte and Mackay. Promotional bottle labels include a unique code which, when uploaded online, let consumers enter a monthly draw.
The activity is supported by a tongue-in-cheek, national media campaign, with ads reading ‘You look like you would fancy a 50-year-old’ across print, online and out-of-home.
Promotional bottles are available now; consumers can enter online until 31 December 2019.
Ruairi Perry, Whyte & Mackay’s Head of Blended Whisky Brands, said: “It’s extremely rare to find a 50-year-old blended whisky of this calibre – usually you have to go to a specialist or an auction to get your hands on one. But these bottles are not available for purchase – they’re only available to Whyte & Mackay consumers who enter our online draw.”
