Falkirk Council grants licence changes for refurbished service station

Forecourt operator Ascona has been granted permission to increase the size of the alcohol display area at its newly refurbished Refinery Service Station, in Grangemouth.

Ascona took over the site on Bo’ness Road in August last year and Falkirk Council’s licensing board transferred the licence from previous owners, but changes have been made that required a non-minor variation.

One of the additions to the licence was including a hot and cold food takeaway – now a Greggs – and the biggest change was increasing the alcohol display area because of changes to the layout.

Falkirk Council’s licensing board heard there had been no objections to any of the changes and the changes were granted as applied for.
