Edrington UK and Treasury Wine Estates have joined alcohol marketing watchdog the Portman Group.
The new additions bring the total number of Council Members to 17 and increase the breadth of the Portman Group’s representation with a whisky supplier and a wine producer.
Based in Glasgow, Edrington UK is the sales, marketing and distribution business of global spirits producer, Edrington. Its portfolio includes The Macallan, Highland Park and The Famous Grouse. As distribution partner for Beam Suntory, Edrington UK also represents its brands in the UK marketplace, including Laphroaig, Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark and The House of Suntory.
Treasury Wine Estates is a global wine company, headquartered in Australia, with wine production and packaging facilities in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the Americas. Its portfolio of wines including Penfolds, Wolf Blass, Lindemans and Blossom Hill, which are sold in more than 70 countries around the world.
The new members join some of the leading alcohol brands in the UK devoted to responsible alcohol marketing. Their inclusion underlines that the Portman Group represents and has the full support of all parts of the alcohol sector including beer, wine, spirits, cider and ready-to-drink products.
