Doritos launch ‘bold’ new campaign

Man arm-wrestling two people simultaneously whilst being fed Doritos

Doritos has revealed a new TV ad which encourages consumers to step out of their comfort zone and to be ‘bold’. 

First airing on ITV, the advert illustrates a man enjoying Doritos at a party before a series of amazing events take place. He is seen jumping into a swimming pool, arm wrestling two strong men simultaneously and dancing in a night club, before removing his bath robe to take part in a sumo wrestling match. The advert ends with the strapline ‘for the bold’.

The £2m campaign is supported by cinema, digital and in-store shopper activity.

“We’re excited to launch the new Doritos campaign and we are confident that it will drive sales and growth for the snacks category as well as add excitement in store,” said Michael Walford, Doritos Marketing Manager. “Doritos can help maximise retailers’ sales with its offering of popular, bold flavours including Tangy Cheese, Cool Original and Chilli Heatwave.”
