Central Scotland is fast becoming to the place to be if you want to win a new motor!
Ian Jackson from Denny has claimed the star prize in Gulf’s recent forecourt promotion, a brand new Mini Cooper. His win follows the recent acquisition of a VW Beetle by a Londis customer from Livingston as part of the Walkers ‘Bring it Back’ campaign.
Ian collected his new Mini Cooper, liveried in the blue and orange Gulf branding, from his local Gulf forecourt – Haugh’s Filling Station – on Glasgow Road, Denny, where his winning entry was purchased.
To enter, Ian purchased £25 of fuel, after which he uploaded his receipt details to the competition website. To claim his prize Ian produced the receipt selected in the random draw to validate his win.
Ian commented: “I’ve never won anything before so, when I received the call initially, I almost didn’t believe it. I’m so pleased that I didn’t throw away the receipt, as I wouldn’t own this car if I had! I’ll be chuffed to bits driving around in the Gulf livery; I’ll be the only person in the country with a car like this, which is pretty special.
“I’m really grateful to Gulf for running this promotion; I’ve been on a high since I learnt I’d won. Plus, since Haugh’s moved to Gulf, there’s been a noticeable improvement at the site; for me the opening hours are more favourable, plus the staff working there are always friendly.”
Colin Levy, Retail Operations Manager at Certas Energy (which markets fuel under the Gulf brand in Britain), commented, “It’s one of the perks of my job to notify a customer that they’ve won a fantastic prize such as this. Everyone working at Haugh’s is chuffed that the winning fuel receipt was purchased at their site. big ‘thank you’ goes to Londis also, which generously donated a superb hamper to Ian also.
“Every time we give away a prize like this we get a great response from customers and a notable increase in fuel and shop sales. Our next promotion is to win a holiday to California, now that’s one I think everyone in the country would love to win!”
