Danone is expanding its dairy portfolio with the launch of its new Skyr range in the UK.
Danone Skyr is available in a variety of pack formats and flavours including 800g Natural (RSP £3.30), 480g Natural (RSP £2.25), 150g Natural & Strawberry (RSP £1.10), and 270ml Vanilla and Strawberry drinks (RSP £1.50).
The new range is 100% non-HFSS, naturally high in protein, has 0% fat and is a source of calcium.
Made with only two ingredients – milk and live cultures – Danone Skyr Natural offers 14g of protein per serving, with no added sugars. The Strawberry yogurt variant has 12g of protein per serving and contains no artificial colours or flavours. Finally, the Vanilla and Strawberry Skyr drinks offer 16g of protein per serving and last for up to four hours out of the fridge.
Skyr is an Icelandic-style yogurt known for its thick and creamy texture and Danone’s move is in direct response to strong consumer demand in other countries. For example, Skyr drove 29% volume growth to the yogurts category in France in 2019.
