Burton’s Biscuit Company has unwrapped its 2015 range of Cadbury Christmas Biscuits, revealing three new products in its festive stocking.
This year’s range consists of 9 SKUs featuring some of the UK’s best-loved yuletide favourites, in a bid to help retailers meet high levels of shopper demand across the key Christmas occasions of sharing, gifting and novelty.
The Cadbury Christmas line-up will this year be joined by Cadbury Delights (rrp £1.79) a gift for chocolate biscuit lovers in a single layer carton, Cadbury Milk Fingers Twin pack (rrp £3.78) and a Cadbury Dairy Milk Cracker (rrp £5), a novelty Christmas cracker style carton with Cadbury Dairy Milk Biscuits inside.
A number of festive family favourites will return with new assortments, including the Cadbury Occasions Carton (rrp £4), which has seen an 85% sales increase YOY, and Cadbury’s best-selling chocolate assortment tin, the Cadbury Christmas Jumper Tin (rrp £7), up 28% YOY, both having new biscuit varieties included for 2015. Back by popular demand, Cadbury Mini Fingers and Mini Animals Novelty Tubes make perfect stocking fillers for children.
“Shoppers tell us that Christmas isn’t Christmas without the Cadbury biscuit tin. With this year’s range we are giving people nostalgic treats that continue to delight, whilst also offering something new to excite consumers during the festive season,” said David Costello, Head of Customer Category Management at Burton’s Biscuit Company.
“Christmas is a peak sales period for Cadbury biscuits, with £95m spent on Seasonal Sweet biscuits in 2014 alone. We would urge retailers to stock up on these much-loved beacon brands that shoppers will be looking for this year, to capitalise on a major profit-boosting opportunity,” he concluded.
