Clydebank-based Singh’s Stores has been put on the market as the owner looks to retire.

The store, at 12-14 Auckland Place, is well located in a housing scheme and turns over £3,500 a week.

The well-established outlet, which has an alcohol licence, is open Monday to Saturday 8.00am – 1.00pm and 2.30pm – 6.30pm and is closed on Sunday.

Liam Bain, Business Agent – Retail at Christie & Co, said: “With consistent weekly sales, the business provides a good foundation to work from. Our client reduced the opening hours during the Covid pandemic and as such now only trades for nine hours per day, closed on Sundays. This offers any new owner the chance to immediately increase turnover by extending these hours.

“We also believe providing a hot food to-go option and service such as the Lottery, PayPoint etc would also increase sales.

“This is an outstanding opportunity to acquire a leasehold business in a busy housing area. We believe this would suit a first time buyer who is looking to run their own business in a ‘hands-on’ manner.”

The store is offered as a leasehold sale at £30,000 with rental being offered at £15,000 per annum.
