Strongbow Cloudy Apple is taking to the road this summer in a new partnership with lad-oriented digital station Radio X.
The summer-long campaign will see Radio X transform five hostelries across the UK into The Strongbow Cloudy Apple Pub. Johnny Vaughan will broadcast his Radio X drivetime show live from the pub, the first of which will take residency in Bristol from the 19th to 22nd May.
The Strongbow Cloudy Apple Pub will also play host to live DJ sets from the likes of Radio X presenter Clint Boon and the band Everything Everything, plus a Radio X comedy night. The Chris Moyles Show’s resident quizmaster Rob DJ will also be hosting a live pub quiz.
Additionally, the partnership sees five months of Strongbow Cloudy Apple content, on air and across Radio X’s social platforms.
Emma Sherwood-Smith, Cider Director at brand owner, Heineken, said: “We will be going to some of the country’s very best pubs and delivering the very best pub experience. It’s a really exciting partnership which will bring both brands to life for our consumers.”
Launched in 2015, Strongbow Cloudy Apple is the latest addition to the cider brand’s family. The Radio X partnership complements the nationwide out-of-home and TV campaign for the cider which focuses on its premium credentials using the strap-line ‘Aim High’.
