Paula Middleton, Spar Scotland Marketing Manager, said: “We will always look to support every request that gets sent in to us. We put our values right at the heart of what we do and that means supporting the local communities where our stores are situated.
“We are delighted to have been able to raise so much for a huge number of groups around Scotland this year. We know that this work means we are building lasting relationships that make a huge difference and we will look to continue our support locally in terms of foodbank donations, charities, schools, and community groups throughout 2023.”
Next year CJ Lang will continue to support Spar’s national charity partner Marie Curie including the organisation of a charity Firewalk. The charity will roll-out foodbank bins to a selection of Spar stores and the business will work with suppliers to continue to donate to charities and foodbanks.
