Circularity Scotland is to run a series of workshops for producers and return point operators in early February.
The workshops are designed to help producers and retailers prepare for the introduction of DRS, which is due to launch on 16 August 2023.
The events take place on:
- Tuesday 7 February – Macdonald Drumossie Hotel, Old Perth Road, Inverness IV2 5BE
- Wednesday 8 February – at The Ben Nevis Hotel & Leisure Club, North Road, Fort William PH33 6TG
- Thursday 9 February – at Malmaison Dundee Hotel, 44 Whitehall Crescent, Dundee, Angus DD1 4AY
- Monday 13 February – DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh Airport, 100 Eastfield Road, Edinburgh, EH28 8LL
- Tuesday 14 February – Philipburn Hotel, Linglie Road, Selkirk TD7 5LS
- Wednesday 15 February – DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central, 36 Cambridge Street, Glasgow G2 3NH
- Thursday 16 February – Cairndale Hotel, English Street, Dumfries, DG1 2DF
There will be two seminars at each location – at 9am and 2pm each day. Each workshop will last just over three hours and will cover: producer registration process; return point operator registration process; operations overview: how the scheme works; and exemptions: eligibility criteria. Each session will end with a Q&A session.
There will be one webinar broadcast at 11am on Friday 17 February and a recording will be made available online the following week.
Places are limited for each event so Circularity Scotland is urging retailers to register as early as possible as tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Only two tickets will be allowed per organisation.
