Dairy Crest has extended the Cathedral City Minis snacking range with the addition of Cathedral City Mild and Cathedral City Mature Lighter variants. Available now, each net of Minis Mild and Minis Mature Lighter includes six 20g pieces of cheese.
The new variants have been developed to capitalise on the increasing popularity of adult cheese snacking which has seen the segment grow by 8.2% in the last year.
Minis Mild offers a snacking cheese which aims to appeal to the whole family, by way of a “smooth and creamy” taste profile.
The launch of Minis Mature Lighter attempts to capitalise on the consumer health trend for lighter cheese which has seen reduced fat cheese grow to £296m. With 30% less fat than standard Cheddar, Dairy Crest says Cathedral City Mature Lighter makes a nutritious savoury snack alternative for those trying to follow a healthier lifestyle.
Elaine McCague, Cathedral City Marketing Manager said: “We are absolutely delighted to be launching our popular Cathedral City Mild and Cathedral City Mature Lighter products into the Minis snacking range. Both Minis Mild and Minis Mature Lighter are high in protein and are a source of calcium, making them a nutritious weekly staple for lunchboxes and convenient snacking.”
