Camelot is anticipating a “massive” sales boost for National Lottery retailers ahead of the EuroMillions 100 European Millionaire Maker draw this Friday (3 February).
The draw is taking place for only the second time and is guaranteed to make 100 millionaires across Europe.
Camelot says National Lottery retailers can expect as much as an 84% uplift in EuroMillions ticket sales, as players look to take home one of the £1m prizes. In addition, there’s also a substantial jackpot of £14m up for grabs.
National Lottery retailers should have already received special POS for the draw and have it sited to maximise the sales opportunities.
Camelot’s Retail Director, Jenny Blogg, said: “This extra-special EuroMillions draw doesn’t come around very often, so National Lottery retailers should grab this incredible sales opportunity with both hands. That means good housekeeping is even more important ahead of the draw. So things like reminding customers to buy a Lucky Dip at the till and making sure all POS is sited will really help drive those sales.
“This will all go towards helping National Lottery players continue raising over £30m each and every week for National Lottery good causes.”
