Budweiser kicks off ‘Dream Goal’ campaign

Gary Neville, Jamie Redknapp and Ed Chamberlin

Budweiser has launched its latest ad, partnering with Sky Sports and featuring football pundits Gary Neville, Jamie Redknapp, and Ed Chamberlin. The commercial marks the official TV launch of its Budweiser Dream Goal campaign.

Budweiser Dream Goal challenges British amateur footballers to submit videos of their ‘dream goals’ in the hope of it featuring in Budweiser’s spring TV ad campaign. The campaign marks Budweiser’s most recent commitment to supporting grassroots British football as part of its global association with the sport.

The launch commercial sees Neville, Redknapp and Chamberlin offering their expert opinion on a goal from ‘Tommo’ of Dynamo Kebab. The ad closes with Chamberlin encouraging viewers to submit videos of their own Dream Goals.

Jamie Redknapp said he had a great time filming the ad. He added: “We know that there are hundreds of amazing amateur goals being scored across the country every weekend, and we’re really looking forward to celebrating these by giving them a taste of the glory that professional players enjoy.”

Andre Finamore Amaral, Senior Brand Manager at Budweiser, commented: “Every football fan dreams of seeing their goal on TV, so we are all thrilled to be officially launching our Budweiser Dream Goal ad on consumers’ TV screens to help make this dream a reality, as well as to continue our longstanding support of British football.”
