Brewgooder is celebrating after being shortlisted in two categories in the UK Beer & Cider Awards 2017.
The craft beer – which seeks to provide 1,000,000 people potable water by donating 100% of its profits to clean water projects – has been shortlisted in ‘Best Corporate Social Responsibility’ category for its extensive work in facilitating wells in Malawi, servicing more than 5,000 people with clean water.
The brand has also been shortlisted in the ‘Best Launch’ category, having gone from a £60,000 crowdfunded startup to being on shelves in six months, all while funding two new wells in Malawi.
Winners of the awards will be announced at a ceremony on September 21 at The Old Truman Brewery in London.
Alan Mahon, Co-Founder of Brewgooder, said: “Since launching in 2016 our lean but highly effective team has been hustling hard to make sure the Brewgooder brand stands out and our mission is felt. They’ve been educating drinkers by showing them they can genuinely transform hundreds of thousands of lives for generations to come just by drinking a great tasting beer. I’m really proud of what we’ve created so far and to be shortlisted for these prestigious awards feels like a great achievement.”
Brewgooder is brewed in partnership with BrewDog at its Ellon brewery, at zero margin. All profits are donated to the Brewgooder Foundation.
