Baxters has given five of its most popular soup recipes an overhaul, with the addition of more locally sourced ingredients.
Cream of Tomato leads the line-up of new recipes with a refined creamier flavour and richer taste due to the addition of more tomatoes and Scottish cream. This flavour enhancement continues throughout the range, with Cream of Chicken and Minestrone also enriched with additional chicken and pasta respectively.
Vegetarian variants Carrot & Coriander and Country Garden complete the new range, with added ingredients from north-east Scotland including cream, carrots and potatoes.
The refreshed recipes were created by the brand’s Development Chef Darren Sivewright.
Commenting on the family-owned company’s production methods, he said: “Similar to cooking up a pot of soup in the comfort of your own kitchen, we make ours in small batches and taste test every half an hour to ensure we are always serving up a bowl of soup, just like homemade.”
The new recipe soups are available now, with RSPs starting from £1.60.
