GroceryAid’s festival goes a bit Pete Tong

Pete Tong

GroceryAid has announced that legendary DJ Pete Tong will headline this year’s Barcode Festival with his live Ibiza Classics project, featuring Jules Buckley and The Essential Orchestra.

Taking place at Magazine London on Thursday 4 July, Barcode Festival is one of GroceryAid’s biggest fundraising events, welcoming thousands of colleagues and more than 100 sponsors. Last year it raised more than £1m, helping the charity continue to provide free and confidential financial, emotional, and practical support to grocery colleagues 24/7, 365 days a year.

Kieran Hemsworth, CEO at GroceryAid, commented: “We are so pleased that Pete Tong will be headlining this year’s Festival. As one of GroceryAid’s flagship events it brings together thousands of grocery colleagues from all levels of the industry to celebrate, network and raise vital funds for the charity to support grocery colleagues in need. The event is a unique blend of festival and brand showcase, with over 100 sponsor activations bringing their brands to life through experiential and sampling activations. We are all looking forward to another fantastic event this year.”

There is a limited number of tickets left for this year’s event. Enquire via the Barcode Festival website if you are interested in attending.

The news comes as the deadline for ordering printed materials to support the annual GroceryAid Day, which takes place on Thursday 9 May, draws closer.

Printed materials are completely free of charge and include A4 posters, an A3 poster, leaflets, wallet cards and stickers.

These are quick and easy to get hold of, but you must submit your order on or before 18 April.

A range of digital assets is also available to download at any time.
