Allwyn expands Snappy Shopper partnership

National Lottery operator, Allwyn, has expanded its partnership with online home delivery platform Snappy Shopper, with 172 independent retailers now selling Scratchcards online through the platform.

The initiative has already generated £150,000+ in sales for retailers, following a successful small-scale trial in summer 2024.

Since then, retailers have been continuing to sign up for the offering providing they meet a number of criteria, including using their own staff members (as opposed to third-party drivers) for home deliveries, as well as being up to date with all the necessary safeguarding training on the National Lottery Retail Training Centre.

By selling tickets to players, National Lottery retailers help raise around £30 million every week for Good Causes.

Allwyn’s Director of Commercial Partnerships and Retail Sales, Alison Acquaye-Acford, said: “We’re absolutely delighted with the growing number of National Lottery retailers signing up to sell Scratchcards online with Snappy Shopper. Over 170 retailers now signed up and selling is a huge milestone and good news for Good Causes and retailers themselves. By integrating National Lottery Scratchcards into the platform, local retailers are unlocking new revenue streams while enhancing their digital offerings to meet evolving consumer habits.”

Mike Callachan, CEO of Snappy Shopper, added: “We are thrilled to see 172 of our partner stores benefiting from this initiative, which has already generated significant sales. The demand proves that customers want seamless access to National Lottery products from their trusted local stores. At Snappy Shopper, we are committed to championing independent retailers, helping them thrive in an increasingly digital marketplace while continuing to serve their communities.”

National Lottery retailers interested in joining this growing initiative should contact their National Lottery sales representative or visit the Snappy Shopper website for more details.

Allwyn recently revealed a range of new Wave lottery terminals, as well as an illuminated scratchcard dispenser and a sustainable, accessible Playstation. The rollout of the new in-store permanent point of sale (PPOS) kit will continue throughout 2025. Wave terminals are currently rolling out to the c7,000 Compact Lottery Terminal stores and will be installed in the remainder of the 43,500 retail estate after that. Stores that have not yet received their new PPOS or terminal will have their installation dates and further details shared with them directly in due course, claimed the firm.
