There’s less than a month to go until Conference24, the Association of Convenience Stores’ (ACS) biggest event of the year.
Taking place on Tuesday 30 April at the Vox in Birmingham, the event is tailored for convenience retailers looking to grow their business, build relationships, and gain insights into changing consumer habits and how to respond to them.
Conference24 will be split into two sessions, with the first led by headline speakers from media agency VCCP. Andrew Peake, Clare Hutchinson, and Jen Cownie will examine the different ways that demographics are changing and evolving, how sustainability is becoming a priority, and why convenience stores have been so resilient despite the challenges facing the economy over the past year. Other speakers include retail leaders Jamie Davison (Bestway) and Teresa Lindley (BP), as well as award-winning retailers Sue Nithyanandan and Zena Tout.
The second session will be headlined by Shirine Khoury-Haq, the CEO of Co-op, who will explore how the business has been adapting to fluctuating customer needs over the year. The session will also feature retail leaders Stephanie Wood (One Stop) and Mark McCammond (Henderson Retail), who will be joined by award-winning retailers Steve Bassett and Tom Dant.
The event also includes ‘A Year In Store,’ showcasing how four leading independent retailers have adapted over the year to understand and meet the changing needs of their customer base. They are Paul Stone (Spar), Josie Chamberlin (J Robarts & Son), Bay Bashir (Belle vue Convenience), and Jack Matthews (Bradley’s Supermarket).
Conference24 is co-located with the National Convenience Show.
